Important Tohatsu Delivery & Warranty Notice Per manufacturer safety regulations and dealer protection policies, this mid-range Tohatsu outboard engine cannot be shipped directly to a residential address. It must be freight-shipped directly to an Authorized Tohatsu Marine Dealership or commercial boat builder facility. To activate your 5-year factory limited warranty, the motor must undergo a mandatory Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) and be registered by a certified technician. Additional local dealer shop layout charges, rigging labor, and engine fluids are not included in this listing price. What Is NOT In The Box (Required components to run) The Steering & Control Setup: As detailed above, you must purchase either a Tohatsu Side-Mount Remote Control Box (with throttle/shift cables) or a Tohatsu Multi-Function Tiller Handle Assembly to drive the motor. The Propeller: Shipped without a prop so you can pitch it precisely to your boat's fully loaded displacement weight. (We recommend choosing a matching Tohatsu 3-Blade Aluminum or Stainless Steel Propeller). Fuel System Hardware: An external marine fuel tank, fuel lines, and a water-separating fuel filter kit are not included. Digital or Analog Gauges: Command instruments like a tachometer or trim meter must be purchased as separate rigging add-ons. Crankcase Engine Oil: The four-stroke powerhead is shipped dry. You must add certified NMMA FC-W 4-Stroke Marine Engine Oil (approx. 2.4 Liters) before testing or starting. 12V Marine Battery: A dedicated 12-volt cranking battery is required to operate the integrated electric starter and power trim pumps.
