Turn-Key Professional Installation & Rigging Package To guarantee optimal on-water performance and activate Tohatsu America’s official 5-Year Factory Warranty, this engine cannot be sold loose in a crate for DIY unboxing. Tohatsu strictly requires all mid-range platforms to be professionally unboxed, rigged, fluid-serviced, and registered by an authorized dealer technician. Our dealership provides a seamless, water-ready handover process that includes: Official Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI): Complete factory-certified mechanical checklist and immediate electronic serial registration into the Tohatsu database to secure your 5-year coverage. Fluid Service: Transom gearcase check and the crankcase filled to its exact 2.5-quart (2.4 Liter) capacity with premium NMMA Certified FC-W 4-stroke marine engine oil. Tohatsu OEM Installation Hardware: All structural high-tensile transom mounting bolts, nuts, and factory heavy-gauge battery leads. Pre-Handover Test Run: Full system diagnostics verification up to operating temperature, ensuring multi-port Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) balancing and power trim hydraulic system performance are flawless. Custom Rigging Options (Tailored to Your Boat) Because mid-range remote outboards are rigged onto a vast array of center consoles, pontoon boats, and aluminum fishing hulls, accessories are sold separately so we can customize the boat setup at our counter: Propeller Selection Not Included: Propellers are sold separately. We will custom-spec the ideal Tohatsu aluminum or stainless steel propeller diameter and pitch based on your boat’s hull weight profiling. Helm Controls & Shift Cables: Choose between premium Tohatsu remote mechanical side-mount boxes or console top binnacles. Mechanical shift and throttle cables will be precisely measured and cut to match your boat's helm distance. Includes integrated variable idling speed controls (adjustable from 650 to 950 RPM). Fuel System Connection: This model requires an external tank setup. It can connect directly to your vessel's built-in permanent fuel tank or plug into a standalone heavy-duty 6.6-gallon marine fuel cell (sold separately).
